Waitlist privacy notice

Last updated 28 October 2026

This notice covers the waitlist form and its abuse protection. It is not Tapes' full Privacy Policy. The app has its own policy covering accounts, vlogs, media and your follower graph — read it at Tapes' Privacy Policy. That policy does not cover this waitlist, which is why this page exists.

Who is collecting it

Tapes is an independent app in development. The waitlist is run by its developer, who you can reach at galambastwins@gmail.com.

What we collect

The mailing list stores your email address and the time you joined. We do not ask for your name and we do not run analytics on this site. There is no account behind a waitlist entry — a waitlist address is not a Tapes login and does not reserve a handle.

Remembering your signup on this browser

After a successful signup, this site saves a small flag in your browser’s local storage so it can remember to show the confirmation instead of the form. The flag contains no email address or other personal details. It stays until you clear this site’s browser data and is not shared across devices.

Protecting the form from abuse

This form uses reCAPTCHA Enterprise through Firebase App Check to request security tokens. Google processes device and application information to help prevent automated abuse. A necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie supports its risk analysis. These security signals are separate from our launch mailing list. Google's processing is covered by its Cloud Data Processing Addendum and Service Specific Terms.

Why we collect it

To send you one email, on the day Tapes launches. That is the entire purpose. The page promises "no spam, just the launch" and that is a commitment, not a figure of speech: this list gets a single send.

How long we keep it

Your address is kept only until the launch announcement goes out, and is then deleted within 30 days. We do not carry the list over into the launched app.

Getting your address removed

Email galambastwins@gmail.com and ask, at any time before or after the launch send, and we will delete it. You do not need to give a reason. The waitlist is not readable from this website by anyone, so removal is done by hand — please allow a few days.

Where it is stored

Entries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of the Firebase platform, under the project that also hosts this page. Google acts as our hosting provider. No one else receives the list.

Changes

If this notice changes before launch, the updated date at the top will change with it. Once the waitlist has been sent and the addresses deleted, this page is retired and Tapes' Privacy Policy covers everything that remains.
